What is the best way to find grants for urban tree planting projects?

Hello everyone,

I am  working on a community driven project focused on urban tree planting & we are exploring various grant opportunities to help fund our initiative; Our goal is to improve green spaces, reduce urban heat & promote biodiversity in our city.

Does anyone have any suggestion for grants or funding sources that specifically support urban tree planting or environmental sustainability projects? We are interested in grants that cater to grassroots organizations or smaller community efforts.

I woud love to hear about any tips on the application process or success stories from others who have secured grants for similar projects. Are there certain criteria funders look for that we should emphasize or common pitfalls to avoid?
