  5. One more day till the Conference! If you need to review the session agenda, you can find it at the bottom of the TreePlotter User Conference webpage.
  6. Are Trees in Species-Rich Urban Plantings Less Susceptible to Pest Damage? Though that question is a clear yes to me, the article below helped me understand why with greater clarity. Give it a read and see how they put "the resource concentration hypothesis” and “the enemies hypothesis” to the test. Does anyone have other good studies on species diversity and pest impacts? I'd like to learn more. https://entomologytoday.org/2023/11/17/urban-trees-species-diversity-less-pest-damage-scale-insects/#respond
  7. Massive potential! What a time for the industry. The state award amounts are here. I know several large national organizations like the AborDay Foundation received serious sums to use for pass-through funding. I'm curious when we will start seeing those re-granting programs launched.
  8. The PlanIT Geo team recently collected stats on all photos stored within TreePlotter: Users have added 3,128,648 photos worldwide The continent that has snapped the most pictures: Australia with a whopping 1,516,219 photos The silver medal goes to North America with 1,243,297 photos With 307,784 photos, the TreePlotter user with the most photos is..... Wyndham City Council. The trees of this Melbourne, Australia suburb must be seriously photogenic.
